I am Jack's Rising Sense of Achievement

I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. Which is good, 'cuz for the first week or so I was back I just plain sucked. I knew it, my friends new it, everyone in UnDeFeatable new it... Hell even the blind kid down the road with no thumbs or comprehension of the English language knew it. It.. It hasn't been a good couple of weeks...

Anyway, I've relearned how to play. Gotten back to ranking up in Campaign and Assault.
Everyone I know above Sergeant Major has absolutely bitched and complained about the rank-up quest, and I was always puzzled as to the why... It's no longer a mystery to me. This rank-up was absolutely, ridiculously, retardedly stupid. The Mini-Games them self weren't what aggravated me to the point of spewing bile to friends and loved ones, so much as it was the wait after each mini-game. The push-up mini-game was cake, finished after the first attempt (squee!). The sit-up game was annoying for a couple of reasons; the first being that after I won the first time, I got d/c'd before I actually got credit for finishing it. The second being it took me 3 more attempts to win again and actually receive the credit I felt I so deserved. The running mini-game was cake, a piece of, even. Then I had to wait another hour before I was actually able to receive my prize, but it was so worth it.

Since I was out of game for over a month (apparently), the boss-like Mithra in Windurst Waters (S) gave me an angry talking to and took my medal away. And then stabbed me in the face with it. Repeatedly.... Ok so that didn't really happen, but it's a better story then just saying they took my medal away.

Anyway, after getting my Holyknight Emblem back last week, I was able to progress to one of the new medals this week causing me to jump for joy. Though, to be honest, other then higher tier Campaign Ops, and a longer-lasting Sigil, I have yet to find a viable reason for spending all this time ranking up. Other then the obvious answer of capping my buffer's and getting easy merits, that is.

Time to break copyright laws:
Campaign! It gives you WINGS!

On a different note, Sky has been good to us... sort of... We've basically been lucky getting every gem mob but Despot, and I swear to jebas, I'm about ready to murder someone in their sleep. I'm not going to, but thats the feeling I have. This la st Wednesday we lost claim to Despot, despite actually having a decent number of people there. I'm thinking we need to change the day. Oh? You'd like to know what we might change it too. Well... I'll never tell!

Anyway, from Despot we moved up and popped Ullikummi, who was nice enough to grace us with an Autumnstone after he stomped Khymera in the face. It was awesome, a great laugh was had by all.

After that Macten showed up and was able to spot Zipcana roaming around the basement of Sky, which is kinda stupid sounding when I say it out loud. Took us a while to bring him up from the basement, but we killed him, surprisingly easily.

Since we were in the area we decided to try to farm Steam Cleaner, and we got lucky enough to pop it on the first Detector. We killed him and decided to end the night.

All in all it was a good week. Fun was had, and things were done.

That was that, and this is this.

I am Jack's New God

So, yeah, I've been away for a stupid long time. I get that. Get over it. I'm back now, and I'm better then ever baby. If you're having problems with that, well, let me see if I can put this as delicately as possible. Cry me an Emo river of your blood tears, build a bridge out of your own emaciated bodies, and get the fuck over it.

Straight to the business at hand. I've discovered God. And he's here in America working for Square-Enix! Who knew!?

In case you're sitting there wondering what the fuck I'm talking about: Dynamis and Limbus Get a Makeover (8/04/2008)

The choicest bits include new AF2 for BLU's

COR's (zomg sexy)

and PUP's.

The best part about the addition of all of these AF2's is that they're obtained just like regular AF2 is. People seeking these pieces don't have to run around and do annoying quests like they did for their AF1 (or so I'm being led to believe).

In addition to the inclusion of Treasures of Aht Urhgan jobs to Dynamis, the cost for entering Dynamis has been effectively halved. One can only wonder what impact this change will have both on the price of currency being sold, as well as the number of fully upgraded relics that are out there.

Also, not to be left behind. Limbus cost has been halved. Though not as dramatically changing gameplay as the additions to Dynamis, this will nevertheless allow BLU's, COR's, and PUP's to have shiny white boxes around their original AF.

Huzzah for -Inventory space.

That was that, and this is this.

I Am Jack's Raging Dissapointment

It's been a fairly unproductive and depressing few days. Other then hitting Bard 69 with my static cat party, I haven't really done much.

These are the cats:
Ariane - Ninja
Mirya - Dancer
Korren - Samurai
Pichon - Scholar
Neckitty - Red Mage
and the only non-cat in the party
Morfine(a.k.a Singing Dhalmel) - Bard

No, you read right, my nickname is singing Dhalmel. And you're eye sights not bad either, in those screenshots I am a hume female. I can't stand looking at dhalmel males for hours on end so I change my race with a fun little windower plugin, Plastic Surgeon. Lets you change your race/gender to anything you want. ANYTHING

Salvage was being very nice to us until our two little friends decided to not show up. Monday night we got Chachaa his Hikazu Hara-Ate from Citadel Chelonian which makes him 2/3 on Usukane Haramaki.

Photobucket

And after felling Long-Armed Chariot again we got Bodb's Cuffs for Korotaro's Morrigan's Cuffs making him 1/3, and Freyr's Mask for Skooboy's Skadi Visor making him 1/3.
Photobucket

Tuesday night was a slow night with the only drops coming after dismantling Battleclad Chariot. Deslock received Tsukikazu Jinpachi making him 3/3 on Usukane Somen and 3/5 on Usukane Haramaki Set! Gryswynd received Phobos's Cuisses making him 2/3 on all of his declares!
Photobucket

Wednesday night's Sea run was abysmal in it's punctuality and ability to make people happy. Out of the two Fortitude pops we did neither dropped Torques making us so very sad, expressed via text as QQ. Also, on a personal note. I died a lot.
Photobucket

Other then all that, I've just been campaigning a lot, both to keep my buffer on Black Mage from reaching critical levels, as well as trying to get caught up in campaign ranks for the update in June! I received this and was told to wait 5 more days!
Photobucket

Only one more rank up to go!

Lastly, for those of you who havent heard - and if you haven't heard, all I have to say is, where the fuck have you been hiding - Square-Enix has finally announced what they're going to be doing with all the trillions and billions and millions of gil they've confiscated from RMT'ers. They've created a lottery, a way of giving back to the FFXI community, while at the same time creating a place for all that excess gil thats stil out there to go. The #1 Prize is absolutely amazing, of course, but the chances of winning are literally minuscule. As in less then 1 in a million. Anyway, if you're interested, and if you read through all that bullshit you must be interested, check out the official link here at the Playonline website.

I'm going to play, of course I'm going to play. But I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I dont really want the 100 million gil prize, (Yeah, that's right 100 MILLION gil). I honestly, would rather have the Armada Hauberk, if I had my choice of #1 Prizes. I would get down, on my knees, and pray to Squeenix HOURLY if given an Armada Hauberk. I would create a diety, a shrine, a temple, and a mother-fucking RELIGION around Armada Hauberk, if given one.

But that'll never happen, so its a moot point.

That was that, and this is this.

I am Jack's Complete Lack of Surprise

Hello, my name is Morfine, and I'm going to die.

Do I have your attention? Cool, I knew that'd work. Relax, I'm not one of those people who posts their suicide note on-line. I just wanted to draw you in, and it worked. I'd say, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna die." But, I have yet to discover the secret to immortality. I'm gonna die, eventually, but so are all of you. And for all I know, you're gonna die way sooner then I am, which makes me one over on you. Huzzah!

So, I gave in to the power and magic of BLOGGING. I don't normally do that, but I've been looking for a way to get my thoughts down in a fashion I can see, and read, and this seemed as good as any. Pen & Paper is so 20th century. Plus, my penmanship sucks, beyond belief. It looks like a 3 year olds. On CRACK.

So, about me and what I do.

I play on Bahamut, I have 75WAR, 75BLM, 75WHM, and just recently became a Pearlsack holder for UnDeFeatable. Never heard of us? That's a shame, you should. We do pretty much everything; Sky, Sea, Dynamis, etc.

We had an uber-busy weekend. Friday we farmed Gems, beautiful, beautiful gems. We claimed Despot, a noteworthy feat in and of itself these days. Then we went halfway across Tu'Lia chasing down Zipcana, before ending the night with Olla Grande.

Saturday, we had planned to do Jailer of Love, but were pre-empted by OrderOfTheBlueGartr, so we ended up back in Tu'Lia, where we got Zipcana again, as well as Faust, and Brigandish Blade, before moving on to popping Suzaku and Seiryu. Drops were less then exhilarating, a pair of abjuration's, Earthen Helm, and Aquarian pants being the most note-worthy.

Sunday, we did Dynamis - Windurst. I was concerned about going at first, because for the last few weeks we've had a small problem with people showing up. But even with 16 people, we did really good. Cleared almost the entire zone - not counting re-pops, got almost 200 Tukuku Whiteshells, and 4 AF2 heads (3 Ninja masks, and a Beastmaster Helm).

Hmmm, I'm gonna need to start taking screenshot's if I plan on updating this semi-frequently.

Anyway, thats that, and this is this.
